From the very beginning, Candice learned that community means showing up for others. As a child, she noticed who had less and shared what she could, even sneaking extra snacks into her lunchbox so no classmate went without. That instinct to look out for others never left her.
Family and community care shaped Candice’s life. She grew up understanding the value of hard work, responsibility, and fairness, and she carried those values into the classroom, into public service, and into every role she has taken on since.
